Last week I spent a whole day updating a graphic to make it compatible with a planned upgrade. Unfortunately I forgot to save the file in the correct location. At midnight a script synchronised all the documents and overwrote my work.
I only found out late this morning when I logged on to make an additional change. It took me all of 30 seconds before I worked out what had happened. My heart sank, followed by a flush of anger. But the anger was pointless. It was directed at myself and didn't actually fix anything.
So I spent this afternoon redoing last week's work. I managed it much faster this time, but that didn't help make me feel any better about it.
I know that I did actually do work this afternoon. I know that the project is further ahead than it was at lunchtime. But it doesn't feel like it. And my to-do list agrees.Go Top
