New(er) Laptop

For a few months now I have been having problems with some of the programs on my work laptop. Today I was given a 'new' laptop with a fresh install. I said 'new' with scare quotes because I think that the laptop is the same age as the old one. But it is new to me. And hopefully the fresh install will have gotten rid of all the quirks.

My files have been copied over and most applications have been reinstated however it doesn't yet feel like my computer. I wonder how long it will take before the settings, defaults and histories are all corrected enough to let me feel at home.
