Forrest School

My eldest son has been attending "forest school" for the last three weeks. This has been an outing organised by his nursery where some of the kids are taken to a local wood and they get to play, explore, built a den, help make a fire and roast marshmallows.

This week was the final week and so parents were invited along to see what was going on. I managed to organise a last minute rearrange of work so I could join them for a couple of hours. It was nice to watch the kids running around in the woods and getting excited about everything. It was nice to see how well behaved they were around the fire and other hazardous areas.

We definitely need to get back out into the woods with the boys ourselves in the future.
