Attending the Royal Highland Show

Today we spent the day at the Royal Highland Show. I remember going with my dad when I was a kid, but couldn't remember too much.

We timed things well, arriving just after 07:30 and leaving at 17:00, we missed the worst of the traffic. We also managed to time it that we were in a food hall when the heavy rain was falling. I am also glad we took days off work and went on the Thursday. The place was busy but not heaving. I think much busier and we would have found it a but too stressful with the kids.

It was an exhausting (and expensive) day but I am glad we did it. We will probably go back at some point, but will probably skip a year or more.
