Necessary Naps

I took my kids for a walk to the supermarket this morning mostly to get them out of the house. In the way there, the younger one asked to be carried. That's unusual. Then walking around the shop, he decided one but of floor made an awesome bed.

He didn't actually fall asleep in the store. Or when we got back to the house. But he did need one. Eventually, after lunch, I had had enough. He was going to have a nap. I took him upstairs, against his protests, and we had a cuddle until he relaxed and feel asleep. I then went through to my room and promptly fell asleep myself.

Two hours later my wife woke us. Not how I planned to spend the afternoon but I clearly needed it as well.
