Self and Hasty

I am not normally the most health and safety conscious person however I am uncomfortable with the layout of the classroom I am currently in. All the chairs and desks are over to the one side of the room and there is a huge amount of space at the far end. unfortunately if we want to get out in a hurry, I have to wait for 7 other people to get out (and may have to push their chairs away). However if the gap/isle was up the centre, this I would only have to wait for three others, halving the number of obstacles.

When did I start thinking about such things? Where did my self and hasty attitude go? Perhaps this chemical engineering is having an effect.
