Tourist in My Home Town

My brother-in-law and his wife were visiting this weekend, mostly to see their nephews but they also wanted to see some of the local tourist attractions in the area which they hadn't yet visited.

It was an opportunity for us to spend time as a family and also go to these places that we generally don't visit. So we went and spent some time at the Falkirk Wheel and at The Kelpies. While I was at both sites recently, it was when I was out with my eldest son for a cycle and we didn't spend too much time in either location.

It was interesting to see these places from the perspective of the tourist rather than just cycling past on the way to the next play park. Thinking about it, we should probably start visiting more attractions with the kids. After all it is all new to them.
